From September 29 to October 1, 2025, the Government of Spain hosted the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development – MONDIACULT 2025 – in Barcelona.
The conference was attended, by official invitation, by Eleonora Gogolashvili, Head of the Department of Culture, Sports, Education, and Youth Affairs at Kutaisi City Hall – UNESCO City of Literature.
Discussions were structured around six key thematic areas, including: cultural rights; digital technologies; culture and education; economy of culture; culture and climate action; heritage and crisis.
The conference placed particular emphasis on two priority topics: Culture for Peace and Artificial Intelligence.
More than 160 UNESCO Member States were represented at the event.
